Rassslin Review: Chris Jericho Universal Champion, NJPW Best of the Super Jrs

This week’s Rassslin Review covers rumors about the original plans for Chris Jericho and the Universal Title as well as an introduction on New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Best of the Super Jr’s tournament.

Rassslin Review 1/8/17: Is Kenny Omega Heading to WWE?

Happy 2017 and welcome to the first Rassslin Review of the year. This episode covers the fallout from New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 11 event.

With the buzz surrounding his main event match against Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Championship, rumors start swirling around about Kenny Omega possibly going to the WWE. Is this true or just a pro wrestling “news” media going down a rabbit hole?

In other news, The Undertaker is supposedly going to make an appearance on WWE RAW this week with Shawn Michaels. Chris Hero has returned to NXT under his old/new name.

We also discuss what might be the beginnings of a new revolution in pro wrestling with talent like Ricochet, The Young Bucks, Broken Matt Hardy, Will Ospreay and others turning down WWE contracts to build up their legacies and other companies around the world.
