A weekly review of Monday Night Raw

WWE TLC 2017 and Monday Night RAW Review

While WWE TLC 2017 was hindered in some ways by illness, it may have also helped greatly in providing one of the more unpredictable pay per views of the year.

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman answer Jinder Mahal's challengeFollowing an epic evening of the Shield with Kurt Angle, Braun Strowman’s apparent face turn, and a long awaited encounter between AJ Styles and Finn Balor, Monday Night RAW was equally as chaotic.

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman answered the challenge of Jinder Mahal, Shane McMahon lead a Smackdown invasion, Asuka debuted on both shows, and we had some questionable commentary (albeit funny) from Booker T.

Rassslin Review 9/17/17: NXT Tapings, Ronda Rousey, Lio Rush, NJPW Destruction

I’ve been a while for a way but we’re back with Rassslin Review covering all the topics in the industry including:

Recent news from NXT tapings involving new stars, a new faction called Undisputed lead by Adam Cole, and much more

The Four Horsewomen are about to butt heads in an MMA vs. WWE feud, or are they?

NJPW continues the Destruction tour featuring Michael Elgin vs. Minoru Suzuki.

Rassslin Review 8-6-17: Eva Marie, El Patron, G1 Upsets

News came out that Eva Marie has parted ways with the McMahons over her own choice. What does this mean for the former Ms. All Red Everything? Time will tell.

Kazuchika Okada vs. EVILSpeaking of EVERYTHING, the G1 Climax 27 got a heave dose of upsets on it’s 14th night, featuring EVIL making sure Everything Is EVIL for Kazuchika Okada while Juice Robinson scored the biggest victory of his career over Kenny Omega.

GFW has a series of decisions to make regarding the outcome of Alberto El Patron‘s investigation. The star remains suspended. Another Latino star they are trying to acquire is Rey Mysterio, Jr. who announced whether or not he’ll be going back to the McMahon’s.

We also feature other news stories, our match recommendations for this week, and read some of our view mail in the Mail Bag segments.

Rassslin Review 7/11/17: Reigns Promo, Omega’s Contract, JR’s Apology and More

In this edition of Rassslin Review, we look at how Roman Reigns came across in his promo spot with Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe, the differences, and why it matters to the continuing problem with his character.

We also discuss Kenny Omega‘s contracts situation, give our Top 10 list for this week in Rassslin Rankings, review some odd tweets between The Miz and Tye Dillinger, review Jim Ross‘ response to last week’s criticism of his G1 Special USA commentary, and much more.

Rassslin Review 6-22-17: Daniel Bryan to NJPW, Mauro Ranallo to NXT, Cody

In this edition of Rassslin Review, we discuss WWE stars like The Big Show and Daniel Bryan speaking “out of turn” about the company. Big Show had some rather negative things to say about WWE TV tapings on Talk is Jericho while Daniel Bryan continues to fuel suspicions that he may return to pro wrestling in 2018.

Christopher Daniels in our Rassslin RankingsMauro Ranallo, who many thought was done with WWE, is apparently back and will be doing play-by-play for NXT on Wednesdays.

In other news, we look at Cody’s quest for gold, debut our Rassslin Rankins for this week, answer your questions in mail bag, and unveil this week’s match recommendations.

WWE RAW 5/29/17: The Graves, The Angles, and the Bayley Burials

After a few months being away from WWE’s main roster, we got back to a full episode of Monday Night RAW on May 29, 2017 in preparation for this Sunday’s WWE Extreme Rules pay per view from Baltimore.

This Is Your LIfe BayleyI must say it was a mixed bag. While the angles with Corey Graves proved intriguing, the This Is Your Life Bayley segment with Alexa Bliss was one of the worst pieces of television I have seen in years.

The main event matches with Finn Balor vs Samoa Joe vs Bray Wyatt, as well as Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns, proved to be decent matches but the overall tone of the show is still off.

WWE RAW is still a show that is way too long, has too much silliness to it, too much bad acting and bad comedy, and tries too hard to be all things to all people (especially the mythical “casual fans”).

This is our review, reaction, and commentary on pro wrestling’s flag ship show, WWE RAW from 5/29/17.

Rassslin Review: Chris Jericho Universal Champion, NJPW Best of the Super Jrs

This week’s Rassslin Review covers rumors about the original plans for Chris Jericho and the Universal Title as well as an introduction on New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Best of the Super Jr’s tournament.

Chris Jericho vs. Kevin OwensWhile Jericho faced off with Kevin Owens at WrestleMania, that match was originally to be for much higher states as Jericho revealed on a recent Busted Open podcast.

One of the premiere tournaments during the year for NJPW kicked off this past week. Best of the Super Jr’s is one of the longer running tourneys and although the Cruiserweight Classic in WWE was similar, this much older tournament has a different structure entirely. We discuss what it is and why it’s been so good for so many years.

Also, we talk about the recent attendance figures for NXT TakeOver Chicago and WWE Backlash, the slight rise in indie wrestling interests and other pro wrestling companies, and much more.

Rassslin Review 5-12-17: WWE Writers Confused / NJPW U.S. Title

This week’s Rassslin Review takes a look at the brand new IWGP United States Championship that New Japan Pro Wrestling will hold a tournament for during their U.S. tour this summer as well as WWE Writers having a tough time dealing with Braun Strowman’s injury.

Matt and Jeff HardyIn other news, Jeff Hardy discusses Billy Corgan and IMPACT Wrestling, Vampiro clarifies a possible collaboration with IMPACT Wrestling, and we answer questions in our mail bag segment about Hulk Hogan, Seth Rollins, and much more news and rumors in the world of pro wrestling.

Rassslin Review: Westernizing New Japan, X-Pac Missing, Corgan

WWE’s Slam Crate

Rassslin Review continues with this week’s look at pro wrestling news.

Billy Corgan with NWAWould Westernizing New Japan Pro Wrestling lead to them gaining ground in a rivalry with WWE? We examine the wishes of many fans and why that is or isn’t a good idea.

In other news: X-Pac (Sean Waltman) disappears for a time, Billy Corgan is with a new pro wrestling company, and Lucha Underground has some backstage woes of it’s own.

We’ll also answer your questions in our mail bag segment.
